- Because the whole point of the parties was to get Daisy back and he finally did -He tells Nick that Wolfsheim said to use people he knows for servants because they will be discreet about Daisy visiting. He replaces them with people connected to Meyer Wolfsheim. -Gatsby knew Daisy’s daughter existed but still looked at her in surprise while Daisy goes out of her way to show that she loves her child. -Tom thinks Gatsby killed his girlfriend by hitting her with his car -At the end of the chapter Tom and Daisy are sitting at the kitchen table nodding and agreeing, Daisy seem to be getting comfort from Tom as if she’s giving in to his protection.

- Gatsby's parents were unsuccessful farm people - Changed his names from James Gatz to Jay Gatsby - Inherited $25,000 after Cody passed away - Gatsby invites both Daisy and Tom to his party and believes Daisy didn’t have a good time - He wants Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him -Daisy wants to run away with Gatsby but Gatsby wants to be with her right where they are and live in his mansion with her - Nick is constantly put in the middle of their love triangle

-Gatsby got very worried that she wouldn’t go -Author maybe says its still raining to set a mood -Gatsby gets very nervous when daisy arrives -Both Gatsby and Daisy were embarrassed -Daisy had tears on her face and quickly wiped them off when he walked in -It stopped raining so Gatsby began giving them a tour of his house -He picked out everything in his house to specifically impress Daisy -He did buy the house because Daisy’s was across the bay -He ended up leaving them together alone

“To be great is to be misunderstood”. Many people back then had great ideas bit were misunderstood by many people. “We pass for what we are”. You can try to cover yourself and hide behind this mask but our inner self will always come out. One way or another. You cant hide who you are forever, and you shouldn’t have to. I feel like i made a difference in my friends lives. Im like a safe place for them, someone they can go to with their problems. I’ll listen to them and try my best to help them even if i have problems of my own. I like making sure they’re okay, anyone would want that for their friends.

Fear of judgment stops us from doing things we want to do. It stops us from being who we really are. Children don’t have that fear, they simply don’t care. And why would they? They shouldn’t have to worry about what the public would think of them. They act however they want because they want to. So why don’t we? You can act a certain way and be someone you’re not, or you can be yourself. Either way people will judge, there’s nothing we can do about it. Might as well be ourselves and act the way we do because it really doesn’t matter. I understand that the craving of acceptance is strong and keeps us from being who we really are, but at the end of the day if you don’t like who you are then it’s not worth it. Society shouldn’t have a say in who we “need” to be. Its our lives, its our choice.
