- Because the whole point of the parties was to get Daisy back and he finally did
-He tells Nick that Wolfsheim said to use people he knows for servants because they will be discreet about Daisy visiting. He replaces them with people connected to Meyer Wolfsheim.
-Gatsby knew Daisy’s daughter existed but still looked at her in surprise while Daisy goes out of her way to show that she loves her child.
-Tom thinks Gatsby killed his girlfriend by hitting her with his car
-At the end of the chapter Tom and Daisy are sitting at the kitchen table nodding and agreeing, Daisy seem to be getting comfort from Tom as if she’s giving in to his protection.
